Session Description
Issues experienced by most administrators with the System Security Services Daemon (SSSD) are both conceptual and technical. Initial queries often include Why is SSSD different, Why would I use it and How does it work. The technical issues often include simply locating documentation to confidently implement the daemon. The major goal of this lab is to present and transfer operationally relevant information and configurations from experts that have followed the technical breadcrumbs already. Learn to implement and migrate to SSSD on SUSE Linux Enterprise platforms against Active Directory and LDAP back ends using native and open security and features. Understand how SSSD maintains compatibility with current identity stores and expands the feature sets of authentication and authorisation infrastructures for Linux systems.
